If you live in NY and care about real estate you’ve probably heard Brownstoner. The site describes itself as “chronicling Brooklyn’s rapid evolution through the lens of real estate and renovation.” Indeed. My favorite part of the blog is “The Insider” which profiles gorgeously decorated homes in our fabled borough.

Every so often, they profile a home that I’ve either been in or have long admired. Such was the case with both of these homes.

Years ago, I went to a party in Fort Greene at this house. The couple who owned it are clearly aware of its charms as their middle school aged son gave us a tour. I’ll never forget that bathroom!

On our walks to the park, we often come across this home and I’ve longed to go inside. I was thrilled to find it on Brownstoner and to finally get the full tour! It looks like it belongs in the Pacific Northwest and yet somehow, it fits well here too.

You should check out both tours. And I should keep a list of the homes in my neighborhood for which I’m dying to see inside. Perhaps Brownstoner needs some leads!
