I’m still tinkering away with designing a little outdoor retreat, which we’ll enjoy even more once this heat dome passes.
Happy to report that my furniture being stored in NC arrived safe and sound. Here’s the somewhat before and in progress view.
Aren’t the chairs brilliant in the space? And the planter head makes me happy at every view out the balcony door.
We still need to buy a few things:
We also need to have our Super help to hang a few things:
Actually, the wall trellis would also need to be added to the “to buy” list.
Then there’s the floors… I painted the floors a fabulous deep, dark black-green because it felt like the light grey floors were showing a ton of dirt. However, there’s been no improvement whatsoever. I’m constantly watering plants, adding soil to planters, and the elements just bring a ton of dirt to the balcony floor. I’ve realized that a full coverage rug isn’t going to be as functional as a simple natural runner. Bonus, the one I’m going to get is machine washable!
So there you have it. Some improvement. After all these higher leverage items are addressed, I want to do a little more styling to finish it up. I think we’ll be in good shape to spend some cool fall evenings dining on our petite balcony.
