Between an intense work schedule and weekends enjoying the high summer, publishing regularly has dropped in priority for me.
Not that there aren’t thoughts a brewin’ – I just haven’t had time for blogs a writen’.
But here I am, fresh off the beach on day 1 of our weeklong vacation, happy to be back at it. I’m working on a few posts (perhaps the long awaited conclusion of Casa Montagna Verde?!) but in the short-term I’m totally inspired by the plethora of beach cottages I’ve seen along Palm Boulevard in the Isle of Palms, SC, where we’re vacationing.
Looking at these I can easily predict what we’d see inside. Lots of light blue and other pastels, white, shiplap, nautical inspired accessories, wicker… you get the idea.
However, a quick search revealed there’s more behind those sweet cottages on stilts than meets the eye.
For the record, Cortney Bishop has such a refreshing point of view towards coastal design. Everything about her work is point on from the myriad styles she easily pulls off (documented in her portfolio) to the project mood boards that set the tone on her website. I’m completely enamoured…
